I am a word bird; I love to write. I especially love speculative fiction and myth-based poetry. I have a degree in Creative Writing and my grownup job requires me to wangle words.

If you’re interested, some of my writing and poetry can be found on my poetry blog 12 Degrees and Skiving and online at poetry site The Legendary.

I’ve had a play aired on ABC Radio National as part of the Illawarra Water Project and I also have a couple of poems in Tide, Vol 5 and 6s Vol 3, I was one of Bentlily’s guest poets, and then there are the forgotten fragments scattered throughout cyberland and the tangible world. From time to time they find me again.

Between learning Italian, making jewellery, translating websites, studying for my drivers license in Italian [why, you ask?], and learning the ins and outs [and ups and downs] of being an immigrant aiming to live like a local in a foreign land, I’m also writing a novel based on the stories of my grandmother in Germany during World War II, and her migration to Australia in 1950.

    Dear Kitty,
Am writing from Germany and found your site by searching for Ouroboros rings. The one you made here is the very one we would love to have!! How much does it cost and how long will it send it to Germany? We intend to marry on August 8th, 2013. We really would be happy to get in good contact with you 🙂
    Love from Heike and Hannes
